Do We Need Schools to Exist the Way They Do Today?

Boy, it seems no one is happy with the schools these days. The parents aren’t too happy, the teachers union certainly isn’t happy, and the administrators tell us that their hands are tied due to bureaucracy and the NCLB -No Child Left behind mandate. Then you have the PTAs and the school district boards, along with philanthropists and nonprofit authority figures jumping in and telling us they can fix it. Our politicians claim there’s a problem, but they are just feeding off everyone else’s angst without any solutions themselves.
